The Vice President, Product Innovation and Marketing is responsible for playing a leadership role in managing the stage gate product development process, as well as in leading product promotion, marketing, and deployment. Requirements
- Product Development and Marketing Expertise
- Must have the ability to be a creative, supportive, and strategic leader and mentor to a variety of product development and marketing teams that are both co-located and virtual
- Must be able to foster, communicate, and sustain innovation within the organization and with end-users
- Ability to analyze business financial cases and make appropriate pricing, expense and margin recommendations
- Creating and editing marketing materials and overseeing the product marketing content of the Web site and in publications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite tools, working knowledge of databases
- Proficiency using Internet and web technologies
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated ability to communicate with broad audiences
- Strong organization and project management skills
- Proven track record for strategic product development, analysis, and implementation of organizational initiatives, preferably in the education industry
- Results-oriented, self-motivated, disciplined, focused, thoughtful
- Thorough understanding and/or significant experience in the education industry
- Commitment to helping schools and school systems in their continuous improvement efforts
