Communications Consultant: FSI
Support the organization's advocacy and membership goals by providing communications services in the following areas:
- Plan, write, edit, and manage production of the FSI quarterly newsletter including interface with staff and others (Sponsors, consultants, Board members etc.) on editorial submissions as needed
- Write bylined articles, white papers, position papers, and copy for advocacy updates, news and events, membership campaigns and materials, etc., as directed
- Concept, write, and coordinate design of materials to communicate and promote FSI events such as annual Advocacy Summit and Broker-Dealer Conference
- Concept, write, and coordinate design of annual Year in Review; interface with staff and Board as necessary
- Concept, write, and coordinate design of FSI advertising
- Write copy for Web site, as needed
- Assist staff as needed with prepared remarks and/or presentations
- Interface with President and Board to develop and communicate key membership and advocacy messages
- Participate with staff in yearly marketing and communications planning and budgeting as needed
Skills needed
- Conceptual thinker, strong writer with versatility and flexibility of style (from news releases to events promotion to soft features to research-focused pieces such as white papers), thorough understanding of design and production to maintain visual brand, excellent interpersonal skills for collaborative team environment
