Looking to get the most out of your 401K? It may be hard work and you may have to cut some corners but in the end it will be worth it.

Set a goal. Be realistic in knowing when you want to retire and how you will get there. If retirement is sooner rather than later, you may want to invest in riskier stocks and mutual funds. Plan on putting more money away as well. This is vital. Sure you have bills now and may want to spend money on entertainment, but think about your future. The full explanation can be found at http://401k-plan-blog.com/2011/06/20/offering-no-load-mutual-funds-with-401k/ If you truly want to “retire” it is important to have savings to do just that. Hopefully, your employer will contribute to your plan as well. It is great when they match your investment. Watch your plan carefully, it is ok to make changes along the way as the economy changes.

Don’t borrow against your plan. This is a big no no. Some people do under dire circumstances, but it is a bad move all around. Not only are you stealing from your retirement funds you will end up paying a big penalty. In the end it is really not worth the it regardless.

Communities tend to reject companies that bring a perceived negative wealth affect. This means that they are going to strongly oppose any company that seems to be taking away the little that they think they have. Whether it is true or not, in many cases, is strongly contested.

The reality is that it may not be the case that they are draining resources, but if it is perceived, then the community is going to take that stance.

The business wishing to do business within a given community must understand their constituents and learn to deliver what they believe to be valuable to them. If the business ignores the needs of the community, they will be perceived as leaches, or pirates within that community.

This image of taking over the community is most felt in the cities were there is high crime, low employment, and a poor initial economic environment. If business were to move into that community, it would be seen as an invasion, although the company may have some much needed resources that would benefit that community.

Companies who have a vested interest in the maintenance of a community will be seen as partners to that community. It is the job of the company to make sure that they are seen as partners and not poachers.

Here’s a financial crisis that may be about to happen. If you think that the housing crisis of the last few years was bad, then think again. A bigger housing price collapse may be in the making. Here’s what I mean.

There have been so many foreclosures, that the banks have had to take the homes back. There was just no one available to buy these homes. The banks had to tighten up on credit, which made fewer people eligible for loans. So the result has been a larger and larger inventory of homes in the banks hands.

At some point the banks need to release these homes to the marketplace. They need to do it faster rather than slower, because these same homes are tying up too much of the banks assets and money.

As soon as these homes hit the market, the law of supply and demand will kick into gear. A flood of homes will cause prices to collapse, because of the over supply on the market. Instead of ten 1600 square foot 3 bedroom homes in your area, there will be 50.

It’ll be tougher to sell homes. And prices will drop very fast and hard.

The company that does business in a certain community must also be aware of what is going on within that community, especially when the primary traffic flow comes from that community. It is the death of an organization to distance their organization ideologically from a community in which they cannot physically. The customers know when a company cares and when they do not.

Choosing to do business in one area may entail more than just joining the local chamber of commerce to which most of the community do not have a personal stake. The business must get involved in the personal things that go on within the community as well, such as blood drives, school events, or other civic events. This shows a depth of commitment to the residents that they are more likely to support business projects that will most likely occur from time to time.

The participation of an organization helps to buy allies cheaper than hiring a PR firm. The company must always present the ethics emotion of the business and be willing to stay committed to that personal ethical design of the community. When company involvement matches company rhetoric, it also shows a specific concern for more than those the business contracts business with. It gives the business a pulse and a heart.
